---I took this one for Anise. She would LOVE to ride in a horse drawn carriage. Someday we'll take her to Banff and let her ride around downtown with the horse---

---Yes, I'm totally spoiled. I'm in Banff with Sean once again while he's at a conference. Our room was on the other side of the hotel this time, so we had a different view - there is a skating rink down there when it's cold enough to be frozen and a fire pit with some benches. It would have been real romantic like, if the rink was open and I wasn't too pregnant to skate anyway. But the lights were pretty from our room---

---Sean and I had a date night here tonight. It was perfect. Truly one of my favorite places to be, especially with my eternal companion and love of my life, Sean. Such a special place---

---He really likes getting his hair cut, can you tell? It's funny because when I take him to a salon, he's totally fine, and just sits there quietly until they are done. I don't like to take him to a salon every time he needs a haircut though, because his hair grows so fast we could easily go once a month. But anytime I try to do it at home he freaks right out. I thought it might just be for me, so I asked Sean to cut it this time. But it turns out he gets just as upset when Daddy cuts his hair. He ends up getting mouthfuls of hair, which just makes him more upset. Add on the clean-up after and it ends up being a real gong show. I guess it's worth the $15 to take him somewhere---

---My project life kit! It's made specifically for those doing the picture a day thing. Each page protector has a spot for 4 4x6 pictures and 4 journaling spots. In the boxes are journaling cards, a date stamp, and date stickers. So all I have to do is print off the pictures, jot down the journaling from the blog, and I'm done! What a great way to have a hands on copy of all these pictures I'm taking. I love it!!---

---Grandma Frache showing Anise how to knit. The lesson didn't progress much beyond this, but it was cute how interested she was in what Great Grandma was doing.---

---Today Grandma Frache turned 80 years old! We spent the afternoon at her house where over 40 of her friends came by to wish her a Happy Birthday. She received several phone calls and beautiful flowers too. Grandma had a great time visiting and eating her favorite - Black Forrest cake. The next day she couldn't talk at all, she totally lost her voice from all that visiting and laughing! Happy Birthday Grandma!!---

---This one's a bit of a look and find. Can you see the Blue-jay? Grandma puts peanuts outside by her giant picture window, and the Blue-jays come and feast. Such pretty birds, and fun to watch---

---Is it just me, or is he still too little to be going to school, let alone getting to the classroom by himself? It's still so hard to just drop him off in the morning and watch him race across the school yard alone. Maybe I'll be OK with it when he hits middle school. Maybe.---

---The two of us out for a walk around the hotel. The weather was so gorgeous the entire time we were here, it was kind of sad that Sean had to be in seminars all day. Luckily they ended a bit early today, so we had a chance to get out together before dinner---

---This is what happens when you fall asleep Sunday afternoon while watching a movie with the kids. The 3 year old girl decides she needs her nails painted, and her 6 year old brother decides that he is fully qualified to give her a manicure and pedicure. It could have been a lot worse - they didn't spill any, but Anise didn't wait for it to dry (which would have taken a couple hours based on how thick it was put on), and she in turn got it all over the walls, the floors and herself---
