--- This is where I spent my entire day. No kidding. With only one vehicle until Sean's car can get fixed my trusty van has been in high demand. My day went like this:
8:15am - take Kaden to school (Sean did that one. Thank-you!)
8:45am - take Sean to the hospital for work
9am - Anise and I get to Grandma Frache's house
9:45am - I remember I forgot to put the stew in the crockpot and drive home to get it going
10:15am - return to Grandma Frache's house
12 noon - fetch Sean from the hospital, and bring him to Grandma Frache's house for lunch
1pm - take Sean to the clinic he is working at in the afternoon. Just so happens I'm scheduled for my prenatal diabetes screening test and prenatal check up at the same time, so I stay too
2:30pm - finish up with my blood work and check-up and head back to Grandma's house to get Anise
2:50pm - take Anise to a birthday party
3:10pm - stop at home to check on dinner - if it's not edible at this point we are having sandwiches for dinner and I need to be prepared for that scenario. Lucky for me, the stew was doing fine
3:20pm - take a quick picture of my front seat in the van, while praying that the neighbors aren't watching - they already seem a bit wary of me
3:30pm - pick up Kaden and his good buddy Alden from school.
3:50pm - drop Alden off at home
4pm - Kaden and I arrive at home, and I frantically set about making biscuits to go with the stew
4:50pm - Kaden and I leave to pick Sean up from the clinic
5:20pm - pick Anise up at the birthday party (20minutes late!)
5:30pm - get home and convince Anise that she needs to get dressed for dance class. Right now.
5:40pm - leave to take Anise to dance with a piece of cinnamon toast and bowl of goldfish crackers for Anise's supper
5:55pm - get Anise to dance with just enough time to get her shoes on before class starts
6:05pm - go to Grandma Frache's house to pick up eggs
6:25pm - leave Grandma's house to pick up Anise from dance
7pm - leave the dance studio after Anise has given me a lengthy demonstration in the change room of what she did in class
7:15pm - come home and realize that I haven't even tasted the stew, or anything else since lunch time.
Grateful to be done all the running around for the day, I sit down with my stew and biscuits and enjoy the 5 minutes I have until I have to start putting kids in bed. ---
OH BOY! What a day! Glad it's over and I hope you get the car fixed soon so you don't have too many days like that! That made me tired just reading...and it is 11pm...that could've contributed a bit! ;)
ReplyDeleteGood grief! Good think you live in Leth now. You wouldn't have gotten all that accomplished in Calgary. You would have been eating your stew at 10:00 pm! : )
